I HAVE A UK VERSION PSP.
I HAVE JUST BROUGHT OF A MATE OF MINE A REGON 2 PSP. IT AS FIRMWARE VIRSION 1.5. I WILLMAKE SHURE THE MEMORY STICK LOADERS WORK WILL POST BACL WHEN I GET HOME FROM WORK

it might be jap with the 1.5 firmawre as they are uk 2 also.

Your friend lied to you and you aren't a very bright person to believe him. Japan's region coding is also 2. But just to be sure, tell me what the number on the bottom of your PSP is. It's on a barcode type sticker. Then I can tell you if it's a UK PSP (which it isn't) or if it is a Japanese PSP.

I remember seeing this info posted on another forum about model no's for PSP:

PSP1000 = JP Standard Pack
PSP1000K = JP Value Pack
PSP1001K = US Value Pack
PSP1002K = EU Value Pack

I live in brittian and got my psp from dubai (thanx to my honey for sorting me out! ;-* ) My PSP is also region 2 but it's japanese. (the region 2 is the region for movies. note: games don't have any region, but movies do, and japan and the UK are both region 2.

Check the box or the bar code on the bottom of the PSP itself. the last set of figures should be similar to the list above.

From what I've read, the british version will use a different screen manufacture, so the quality may be alittle different.

If ur psp is an EU version, then I'd be interested in where u bought it from as I have a few friends, who don't want to buy online (import taxes).
