I think I'd rather download off youtube the quality isn't that bad I mean no worse than anything else and it only takes about 2-5 minutes to convert with a 3gp conveter. I mean don't get me wrong avi has great quality but it's a bugger to convert and takes far longer than most are willing to wait.

As I have PMd you saying yes I will but like I also said most Anime Series are 100+ episodes so it does take a while to upload but I will start working on them Elfen Lied has been posted by it's 13EPs + an OVA and it took me two days so you can understand what I mean.

Then you don't watch all the series I do, there are a good chunk of series that people watch that are 100+, for example I own InuYasha boxsets for seasons 1-3 that series is about 167 EPs at the end, Bleach, Naruto, Detective Conan (<<even though it's pending most places you look), and even still even if I were to agree and say that this weren't the norm 26 EPs still takes awhile to upload not to mention is the series had hour specials in JP, or if the series had movies after it was completed or if it was still going. So regaurdless even if you do not see as many series that are 100EPs+ as I do as I said 26 EPs still takes awhile to upload

i didnt say there arnt that are over 100+ eps i said that series that are 100+ are a small percentage of anime, as opposed to what you said that most series are over 100 eps. i have watched and downloaded over 200 series that are either currently on my comp or on dvds, including db, dbz, inuyasha, naruto, one piece, prince of tennis, ranma 1/2, bleach, yugioh, thats still a small portion of all the anime released, most are still 24-26 eps. thats 9 series out of 200 ive watched/downloaded, as opposed to over 100 are between 12 and 26 eps. i know of a few more over 100 that i have not downloaded but even if you add 30 series to the 100+ total thats still 40-50 series compared to the hundreds upon hundreds of total series. but yes it does take a long time to upload series if you are on a normal connection. i was a anime server on irc for 4 years and i served 1tb of anime on a 17k up i lost 2 hds from serving 3 years ago so thats why i stopped serving. all the series you mentioned i have been downloading or following since ep 1.

Then you understand where I am coming from, that regaurdless whether the series be big nor small it does take a bit to upload not looking for confrontation I'm just saying the fact that certain people are harping on me as though I'm a newbie not contributing to the site is a bit wrong, I've been following anime since back in the days of Speed Racer, I own over 300 mangas, and over 200 anime DVDs, I do agree based upon a better study of what I myself watch that 90% of series are a 26-30 EP max but there are a lot of 100+EP series, not to mention if the series decided to have OVAs, I have a T1 connection and uploading is still a pain in t3h arse. So evol edo I want you to know I am not looking for a fight, I respect you and your statements I was just going off what I thought and what I had watched.

What are OVA's? I've seen a few on Naruto and have no idea what OVA stands for

from what I understand OVA stands for Original Video Animation.

you are correct sir, aka oav which is original animated video, but ova has become more widely used. they are often side stories that are not done in conjunction with a main series story airing on tv, some are unaired continations of tv series, while others are just short series of their own. there are a few ovas that do not use the original voice actors and im pretty sure the original manga artists.

:] like t3h Elfen Lied OVA (aka 11.5). I once had someone argue with me that spin-offs to a series were OVAs I just kinda laughed at him, I was like noo that's why it's called a spin-off series and not an OVA

hahaha elfen lied ova was pointless. OVAs are not spinoffs, they are more like continuations not picked up for tv or original series to short to be picked up for tv. you should have asked if they are spinoffs y are there so many ovas and so few spinoffs. they are also different than unaired eps.
