I have 3 PSP's which have been downgraded to 1.50 (2 for kids) and whilst all work with ISO games and memory stick movies none will work with any UMD games or UMD movies. The Games come up with "the game could not be started FFFFFED3) and when any movie is put in it just comes up with " this disc cannot be played ".
Does anybody have any ideas of anyway to resolve this or what is causing this.
Thanks for looking anyway.
PS The UMD Movies came with the PSP'S so they are from the same region.

For your UMD games: Your psp must need a higher firmware version to play the game. Don't worry you don't have to update, there is a homebrew program SXT Version Changer v2.02 that allows you to play games that require higher firmware version. However for SOME games: GTA, The Hustle, Socom, Tokobot, Smackdown vs. Raw, King Kong, you MUST update meaning there is NO workaround.
For your UMD movies: Make sure you have the correct region verison. You MUST have the same region psp as your umd movie. This only applies to UMD movies. This means if you have a Jap psp you need Jap movies, US umd movies will not work.

I tried the SXT Version changer on all versions -1.50 to 7.50 but it made no difference and the games are europe with europe PSP'S. Cant seem to figure out why its doing it. I reverted one psp back to version 2 to make sure that the UMDS were ok and everything worked fine.
Thanks for the advice anyway.

What game/s were you trying?

Grand Theft auto (which I now know does not work on 1.50) and Harry Potter. Its just unusual that no UMD's work on 1.50 but work when reverted back to version 2.0

What? Thats not weird. Basically ALL umds released work on 1.5 with the version changer, except for like 6 that need either 2.0 or 2.5. Soon using the MPH Firmware Launcher you will be able to play 2.0x games on 1.5. Like GTA, Socom....

but all 3 PSP'S have had there software upgraded to 7.50 using the MPH Firmware Launcher and they still will not play any games from UMD's or play movies from UMD's which are from the correct region. I must of done something incorrect its just a case of finding out where I went wrong. Cheers for your help anyway Ceptic

The version tricker doesn't update your psp, its still a 1.5 with the 1.5 features. All it does is make it think it is a higher version to play games. I already told you the changer doesn't work with GTA, Socom, King Kong. Its not something you did its just the game.

When you use the home button to exit the umd emulator you have to go back into the umd emulator an press triangle button to exit it properly or your umd movies/games will not work.
