Please tell me which one is more worth getting.

Definetely Wireless Router.
1. Wireless router can also be used for wireless laptops
2. Same cost if not cheaper
3. More reliable, different routers have been around longer than Wifi Max so I would rather get the router because they are higher "quality"

I wanna get a router, but im afraid that its gonna be too difficult to get up and running to work with my psp.

can someone tell me or direct me on how I would get my little hotspot set up quickly and correctly?
Ceptic Tank
Its pretty easy, don't worry about it. Just get it and then post your questions/problems. If you think it will be too complicated for you or too hard just get the Wifi Max.

To be honest with you, i have a Linksys Access Point. I'm kinda disappointed with it because of the fact that its not compatible with Xlink. So i cant use Ad-hoc games with it.

all i can pretty much do is play infrastructure games and surf the web with my firmware loader.

the one i have was fairly easy to setup. Just make sure when your installing the stuff on your computer, make sure norton is off.

yea heard about it

Don't get the wifi max I can't get it to run right. Damn thing always says limited or on connection.
It does show up when you do a scan on the psp 100% but it can't connect. Always get an internal error.

Never tried the Wifi MAx before but my wirelss router works smoothly with the PSP. If you have a few PC's or other wifi compliant gadget such as PDA or wifi mobile phone, it's recommended to get a wifi router. Setting up the router is actually not an easy job coz differ brand have differ settings. Just read the manuals and I believe it you will find the way.

definitely wireless router because i have wifi max and it sucks! its really confusing to configure and alot of the time it loses its settings. also its only good for the psp. if you try to use it for laptop or ps3 or something it wont work!

I have a very good alternative for the wifi max from datel. I wanted to buy a router because of the extra possibilities, but because of a pretty weird internet setup in my appartment building, a router is out of the question.
So i bought Hercules usb wifi transmitter. And i think it's great and very easy to instal. It only took me less than 5 minutes to get on the internet. You just plug it in on your pc with internet acces and it shares the (wired) internet connection wireless. You can have up to 5 laptops or psp access the internet wireless. It works great for me.
