That doesn't really make any sense... 3.90 M33 works in exactly the same way to 3.51 M33-2.

A couple of things you might want to do though:
- change the No-UMD mode to "Sony NP9660" in the recovery menu
- install the 1.50 kernel patch

ive tried to.
i have the 150.pbp in the root,
and i put the file into PSP/GAME
and then when i go to game memory stick its not there
i can see it and all my games in windows explorer when i look inside of it

the only thing that i can acsess from my memory stick is videos.
Save files, photos, none of it works!

now i just tryed my 1Gb sony memory card. and everything is on it.
does 3.90 no work with SanDisk 4.0gb cards?

Just a word of warning: unless skype and/or internet radio is a high priority for you, DO NOT go beyond m33 3.71! Apparently sony has changed the memory stick driver in 3.80 and above to an inferior version which does not play nice with 3rd party brand sticks, notably sandisk. There have been many reports of games and/or saves no longer loading properly under the new driver where they were fine before. Dark alex has come up with a semi workaround by a patch which shoehorns his 3.71 driver back into the new firmware, but the process is too complicated for most casual users imo (and there are many reports of bricking as well).

Sadly i updated to m33 3.90 before knowing about this, and all my memsticks (sandisk 4 gig and 8 gig) have been affected. I can't run patapon for example, and emulators run noticeably slower than before. Thankfully the older games still work (though again noticeably slower). Just wanted to make sure you guys were aware before updating. If you don't need to, i strongly recommend you wait until this problem is resolved.

I have 2 SanDisk 4 GB cards and they both work perfectly, as well as a SanDisk 1 GB card.

Have you tried installing the 1.50 kernel driver with the 1 GB Sony card?

Then maybe try backing up the contents of your 4 GB card, then formatting it using 3.90 M33, then putting the stuff back onto the card.
christophernuts
tried the 1.50 kernal on my 1GB,
it loads but then i get an error on
vsh/podule/netconf_plugin.prx
and then i tried the 4Gb and it didnt work

EDIT: i just formatted it on the psp after on the computer
and it works perfectly
