Umm... I never had the happen to me.

It charges the PSP until it is full, then it stops. When the orange light is on, that's when it's charging.

My PSP is in the charger all the time I'm not using it and I haven't had any problems.

I let mine charge overnight always. Been doing it since i got my psp, and so far nothing has happened.

Only thing that I can think of is it may reduce battery life, but it isn't noticeable as these battery's are made to last a long time.

i think its best not too, it will lessen your battery's lifespan.

I've left my PSP charging overnight almost everynight for about 2 years now and nothing so I think you're fine.

i guess there's no problem charging the battery overnight, unless if you're using fake batteries or chargers that can fry your psp...

dont worry about overcharging

I do it all the time and I haven't noticed any effects to the PSP or the battery

I overnight charge from time to time, but as much as possible, I just charge until it's full.

Ive had a psp for 2 years now, and I leave it charging overnight. I don't notice the loss of battery life (PSP at 333/166 Mhz) it still displays the usual 3 hours 10-15 min.

Note: Never buy fake batteries, my friend got a burnt bed sheet from overnight charging.

I had mine for almost 2 years and yes my battery did screw up. It would only last 5-10 mins max without being plugged in - meaning I couldn't take in on the go. So I ended up getting a new battery and it solved the problem.

Then again, I'm not sure why it happened or if its the real reason. Its just what happened to me. Recently, I started unplugging the PSP when its fully charged. Hope that helps.
