You can downgrade to 1.50 via Recovery Mode.

how would i go about doing that?

To get into Recovery Mode, turn off your PSP completely. Then hold down the R button as you turn it on and as it loads the Recovery Menu should pop up.

There's a guide in the FAQ section: http://www.psp-spot.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=41834

And in the end, we are all satisfied.

lol There's only an official 1.50 FW and yes you will be able to upgrade to future official and custom firmwares alike.

naah i was asking because i saw a 1.50 Custom Firmware....proof of concept something on dark alex's site

Also, 2 more questions:

1.)The id storage things (no idea wht they are but i think they're pretty important ?) don't get corrupted during downgrading via recovery ?

2.)If i put say 2.80 official fw(or anyother lower fw) in there will the recovery downgrade to that instead ? or does it only work for 1.50fw

thanks

You are right; there is a 1.50 PoC CFW, but it will not downgrade to that.

It shouldn't get corrupted, no.
On another note, don't try to downgrade to 1.50 if you have a Slim PSP, as it will probably brick it.

It might work, but it would be safer to downgrade to 1.50 then update to 2.80 official firmware.
