So im having problems running the vice city iso (or was it cso) .. anyways i just cant seem to play the game it keeps lagging a lot ...everytime i enter a car/bike it'll start lagging( fps i guess is around 15fps).I'm on 3.90 m33-2 .
Is there any fix to this ?
Thanks in advance

bump up your UMD/ISO cpu speed to 333 MHz and let me know how that goes

hmm from the select menu right
i thought about that but wouldn't this damage my psp in the long run ? & there is no other way ?

no this will not damage the psp in any way... the psps processor is 333 MHz sony has it underclocked at 222 Mhz putting it at 333 Mhz cannot possibly damage it at all... only thing it will do is lower the battery life... you'll get less hours of gameplay. and yes it is the only way.

thanks ill try this now
ok on the select menu i have 2 clock options - xmb and game
i should set the game to 333/166 right ?
should i change the xmb clock as well ?

nah. xmb will run fine at 222 MHz(or default which is still 222 MHz) only thing you need to raise to 333 MHz is game

yeah i had played the game on a friend's umd before...
the fps was much better but still lagged a bit even on the umd.
The 333/166 mhz speed did help but it still lags S┼◄ÑKCH i figure its just the game because as i said it lagged on the umd a bit as well.

also if your game is in compressed iso (cso), try to convert it back into iso... some games do lag when they are in cso format...

Try Decompressing it to ISO and change your cpu speed to 333mhz...

Iso will run much better than cso on vice city. And run at 333 mhz too.

you need to over clock it

I had the same issue, almost gave up before i converted to ISO then it worked like a charm, remember this as there are some games that conversion back to ISO is essential!
