Okay so I was thinking what can we do to help get site activity back to what it used to be. What I mean by that is, is how can we draw back in some of that crowd we lost while the site was in the shitter. As of late Nyght has really gotten things back into whack and getting everything up to snuff so that we can be what we once were. Now we can't let Nyght do everything so lets draw together someways to get this site back on the cutting edge of everything technology ect. As well what are we to do about our growing leecher problem? Perhaps we could limit access to the DL section for those inactive users, sure we might lose some people but we'd most likely also gain some very contributing members. So here's my thoughts:

Draw the community back:

1] Get a new look (this I know Nyght is working on)

2] Perhaps more greetings and welcoming from the staff in the intro section

3] Get more features added to the site

4] Offer various contests allowing VIP access (as the prize) for a certain time period

5] Create an upload and download forum monitoring team (universal)

6] get our name back up in polls, as well as get our name out there as a competitor

Extinguishing the Leecher issue:

1] Limit access to the DL section

2] Become more strict with the inactive users suggesting they pick up the pace a little

3] Take a look at the current list of users and weed out the good from the bad

How about maybe some contests where people could win free VIP for a week or a set amount of time?

I like the idea definitely a good thought.

Yeah, im doing all i can do get this place back in its glory days. Since i joined up, ive been here every day doing my best.

Restricting download access would be a good idea, it would urge people to actualy give back to the site.

Maybe we could all spread the word of the site again, tell friends and family to check it out. Tell your mates if they want on the spot help they can drop into the forums or shoutbox.

I completely agree with the idea faker it's like I said in the staff section getting our name back out there and showing people we still mean business here is important.

i was thinking choosing 5 non vip members per month and make them into vip members with some cool downloads or something like that.Also i mostly chat more recently though now and i dont really download anything much anymore so i can help you guys to bring more people in here as best as my abilities can.

Restricting downloading could be an okay idea if it were done correctly. I know I hate posting in the forum section because of the RIDICULOUS signatures, and the really busy forums. Most of the threads are useless, and the place isn't very heavily modded. But I chat in the Shoutbox a lot, help people out there, ask questions, discuss things. That's the reason I come here, so if you restrict downloading to people who post in the forums, you'll lose people like me, who contribute to the site, but not in the forums.

I like the idea, but I think Dikalbo has the right frame of thought here lets combine the two ideas, like we could have the top 5 active members of the month or something promoted temporarily to VIP for there hard word, also we could have contests like drawing or voting on names in the staff section.

Other contests would work as well, like a theme contest, or a homebrew game contest. Give VIP membership to the person who posts the best original theme each month, or something like that

I absolutely love that idea, we get our content up and the users are rewarded, SPLENDID idea!

The future of this place looks bright to me.

I wonder to help with leaching, if maybe the order of the forum should be changed a little. Put the downloads section toward the bottom. Alot of people will get to the download section and get lost in there. I have done this myself. I am now going to work on reading and posting more in other sections. and not so much in the download areas

i can help what with whatever you need i ave my own site with alot of downloads so i can post alot of them here and i also suggest for people to make new topics here because alot of them are very old and there's hardly new topics so i make some myself
