MGS4 PS3 Bundle Confirmed




So people doubted it, said it wouldnt happen. Well guess what it did. Sony will be repackaging their 80gb SKU with MGS4 and releasing it. Not only will it come with MGS4, but it will also come with a DS3. Not enough you say? Only $500 for this pretty package.

I know I bought a ps3 back in February of last year and don't regret a minute of it, but damn this makes me want to buy another. At a great price and with a great game and the new Dualshock, I couldn't ask for more.


People were wondering what was happening to all of Sony's 80gb PS3's when they started pulling them from stores. Well I guess now everybody knows and I have to say this is a brilliant marketing move. Nobody thought they would package a high profile game in with the ps3 right off the bat, but they are doing it. If the ps3 wasnt already seeing a boost in sales, this is sure to be a hit. This will definitely turn the heads of adopters who've held out and maybe even turn the heads of those who have already.

The thing looks so sexy, how could you not want it?

Man thats a nice deal for a good game and system, but i wish that was with the 60gb PS3.
But the system is still worth it!!!!!!!!
Metal Gear Solid 4, Finally!

Why the 60GB? The 80GB can do everything the 60 can, plus you get the extra space, oh well either way this is sweet.

I think he means purely from the ps2 standpoint. The 60gb still has that over the 80gb since the 60 had the chip whereas the 80 is emulation.

Actually a recent study has confirmed they're completely even in PS2 BC since FW 2.10.

Acutally no. There are plenty of games that have "issues" on the 80 that dont on the 60....just look at the official playstation site shownig the compatibility. They keep that up to date.

Wow now im getting a PS3 it's official. I was waiting for a while until they planned on lowering the price again or for something else good to happen , which is this right now an the rumble is on the controller again, yay

This is awesome news. I would rather still hold off on buying a PS3 though, because I have heard rumors of a 120 Gig Elite package coming. But I am unsure whether its true or not?

No thats a rumor and I doubt it. This bundle will be THE BUNDLE to buy.

This doesn't do much for current owners. I only really want the DS3. Wonder if Sony will have some type of swap for your old Sixaxis?

Actually is does a lot, MGS 4 is one of the most anticipated games, so while yes you can buy is separately if you already own a PS3, this'll be a great bundle to get non PS3 owners to buy almost makes me wish I'd waited a little, but ah well.

I would almost say that most of the gamers who would get this game already have a PS3. I guess that's what I meant when it wouldn't do much.

Like me, if I decide to switch to the PS3.

This bundle will of course sell a ton. And youre forgetting globablly. When this comes out youll see the sales in Japan skyrocket. Its a global market not just U.S.......

Well the actual Metal Gear Solid 4 game is set for June, so I don't know if there gonna release them both the game an the bundle at the same time, I hope they do though
