Gears of War 2 Cleared For November 2008!


Gears of War 2 has just been confirmed at GDC 2008. At the tail-end of the Microsoft keynote, Cliffy B chainsawed his way to glory, saying that Gears of War was a setup, while Gears of War 2 will be bigger and better than the first. The logo for the sequel appears, and the crowd goes nuts!

Gears of War 2 will be available in November 2008, just as the Italian press release said. An English edition of the Italian press release has also been sent out, further reiterating Gears of War 2's November release as well as a little teaser saying that the game "continues the story of Marcus Fenix and Delta Squad in an epic saga of survival, loss and retribution."

Careful recount of Epic Games' press assets also revealed this one little prize: the game company has announced that Gears of War 2 will also come with some fan love. And that love comes in the form of a Gears of War 2 Limited Edition. Now you've got two games to choose from, if you haven't made up your mind already.

Also after this comes out on 360 Gears of War is slated to hit the PS3 on Gears of War 3. 1-2 were under contract with Microsoft so 3 is open to multi-platform or Sony can steal this.

I'd like that and then again at the same time I wouldn't, because I've played every Gears on the 360 and the 3rd will be no acceptation, IDK for some odd reason I don't see it happening only because Mark Rein announced this would be a trilogy right after the firsts release this leads me to believe M$ has already sealed the deal in terms of keeping this a 360 exclusive.

you have about as good a chance of that happening as you do of seeing Socom on 360

Not really, if the contract is up then it could very well go multiplatform, Unlike SOCOM which was made by Sony, Gears is made by Epic once the contract is up they can do whatever the hell they'd like and considering Mark Rein said Epic Games is very much so a multiplatform company it wouldn't bee all that shocking.

To me, as long as 360 has it I dont care what other consoles have it.
