So I've decided todowngrade anotherPSp that has official 3.50. I'll just use the lumines trick thing yada yada.

But, the question is what do I upgrade to? I haven't bothered keeping up on the custom firware thing so I dunno what to use and what won't brick the damn thing.

Maybe to 3.80 M33? its a good and the popsloader is really good as well.

I say 3.80 M33-5 is the best. To do so though youll have to upgrade to 3.52 M33 then update to v4. After that you can update to 3.80 M33 then v5.

Have you got to 1.50 yet?

use pandora to downgrade then upgrade to 3.52m33-4 and upgrade to 3.71m33 or up you cant go wrong

I'm on 3.50 official. I'm just gonna do the Lumies downgrade, which I've done before.I'm just not clear on how to go from there since this whole custom firmware thing has changed since last I did it.

3.90 M33 Is what i have, and imo its really good. I wouldn't mess with the flash0 though, i messed up a little on my friends psp

And let's remember all of this is a foreign language to me. You say up to 3.80, but this other guy says he has 3.90...... this is like super confusing...

This is something that you should ask at psp-hacks.com in my opinion, their site is dedicated to this type of stuff

This is what I would recommend:
1. Downgrade to 1.50 from 3.50 using Lumines method
- this is the hardest part and you already know how to do this, so you should be fine
2. Install 3.52 M33
- instructions are in "readme.en" (they are very clear)
- remember to run the kxploitpatcher in "1.50only"
- you will need the 1.50 EBOOT and the 3.52 EBOOT
3. Install 3.52 M33-4
- instructions are in "README_EN.TXT"
4. Install 3.90 M33-2
- instructions are in "readme.txt"
- you will need the 3.90 EBOOT

When you download 3.52 M33 and extract the archive, one of the resulting folders should be called "1.50only".
In that folder is kxploitpatcher, a homebrew PSP application which you have to run on 1.50 before installing 3.52 M33.
