I tried searching around for this but couldn't find anything. i remmeber when loaders first came out people used tape on there UMD sensing pin so they wouldn't have to mess with UMD discs so im sure it has been broken before. heres my story.

today i tried to tape down the little UMD detector pin inside the UMD door so i wouldnt have to keep a UMD present all the time.(i hate having to open the tray slot everytime i turn on the PSP.) upon placing the tape on the pin, i managed to snap it off and now it cannot detect any UMDs when they are placed in the drive. here are some screenshots of the pin and where it should go. i bought my psp on ebay so i dont have a warrenty or anything like that. what do you suggest i do? i have made a couple iso backups of the games that i have bought. is there are loader that does not require a UMD in the slot? Thanks!

here are some pictures.

thanks for any help at all!

I suggest you learn from your mistakes and buy a new PSP. The loaders have the UMD in the drive because they still need some files from the actual UMD in most cases.
