Try updating to 3.71 M33, and maybe a new version of MapThis! if it is available.

I think I saw someone else had a similar problem on here and it was fixed by updating firmware and/or software. smile.gif

still nothing,
the gps text file is empty, should something be in there
everything is the same, just no start of the gps

Yeah I could never get it to work on my 3.03OE-C I had to upgrade. Maybe you are getting a corrupted version? Have you tried a different source?
Kray Day
ive tried version .49 .5 .5.2, only one that stars up is the 5.2 one but never starts the gps
where would u suggest i get a copy of mapthis
Kray Day
still doesn't work, not even in 3.80 m33
so like WTF

i think i saw somewhere (i think youtube) that you can view the maps on the mapthis program without having the gps signal receiver... but i haven't been able to get it to work on my 3.71 m33... whenever i start the app, it comes up with the blue screen and says loading usb module or something and then it just resets the psp.

does anyone else know anything about this?...

-thanks

well well well I had that problem. you must be running cfw and have it set to fake region Japan

1.download a KeyCleanerv1.4 make sure you install in PSP/GAME folder ok.

2.go to xmb on psp GAME>MEMORYSTICK run app dont worry it will not damage psp if you have bad keys go ahead and repair them. reboot psp.

3.go ahead and mount the psp gps290 on the usb atop psp (make sure that the unit is flipped all the way up or it will not activate).

4.now get yer arse outside and run mapthis app press square, press start go to sat info tab and wait to see sats in orbit. now remember in order for the unit to work it must lock on minimum 3 sats good luck bro. rolleyes.gif

you see, everything is good but where it says GPS state, it always in the off position
and now that im runnin 3.9 i can only run mapthis 5.2
why is the state always off

do i have to do something specific with the src folder? i put it in the mapviewer folder and on the rot of the mem stick

I used to have the same problem. I fixed it with keycleaner and it's working fine now.
