What is the benefit? I only did it cause the simpsons game didn't work for 3.4oe-a but aside from that, is there any other benefit cause everything looks the same and I don't see any added features. Thanx!!

I know that there has been some bugfixes, a better No-UMD driver (Sony NP9660) and an improved popsloader plugin for all pops versions but otherwise I can't think of any differences.

Hmm, Sony needs to think of some new invent stuff to add, these last couple firmwares updates have been lackluster. I remember how excited I was when Sony released the 2.0 update with the new ability to browse the web. That was hot, and I know since then certain things like remote play/location free/RSS has come out but really...I want....hmmm I really don't know what I want, but I know I want something new and exciting. Oh well, maybe 08 will bring us new and exciting things.

Hi, I'm new to PSP - actually I just got one for my Son. It only has System Software 3.40 OE-A.
He just got the Simpsons game, so I guess he needs to update to 3.71.

Where do I get the updrade from? I went to the Official PSP sites, and they only seem to have 3.80
I downloaded 3.80, but from what I can see, you cant go direct to 3.80. Is that right?

Also, the PSP I got him is a black PSP1000. Can I upgrade a PSP1000 to version 3.80?
