I've looked a while for a forum to place this in, but there wasn't any. My friend's PSP is not working. When he turns it on, he gets just a black screen. He has asked me for help and I've racked my brain, but nothing seems to work. The PSP is a 1.5, that he upgraded to 2.0 for the website features, and I helped him downgrade successfully a couple of months ago. The only game he's played on his machine was Star Soldier. It has worked fine until two days ago when he attempted to play SS again. Has anyone else had a problem like this where the screen just remains black?

Does he still hear sound?

Format the memory stick and then take the PSP back for warranty.

Test out a different game, there may be something wrong with it.
