A lot of people have been griping about the fact that the game is slower than Melee, but personally, I like it. I don't think that makes it less skill-intensive, I think it makes it MORE so. When it's easier for everyone to hit a base-line of playability, it will make it more difficult for "pro" players to really set themselves apart. I also think the variety in players will create some interesting matchups, and will make tournament play pretty varied. Metagaming in video games is good times
As for favorite characters, so far I'm loving Squirtle and Diddy Kong, and I feel like Olimar is just waiting to be broken.
dude, i swear i already read something very similar like this in a review of this game...wow. as for favorite characters, mine are sheik, fox and captain falcan. brawl characters are slower than in melee and i dont like that, but i would probably get used to it after a while. first of course i need to buy a wii, if i can find one and have the money, and then get brawl, which hasnt been sold out at all which is surprising to me because i thought a lot of people were waiting for this game especially since there was going to be online capability, which i hear is a bit laggy
