Take a look at the Slim PSP's battery bulge

Sony's official extended life battery cover for PSP-2000 owners doesn't come out for another few weeks. However, 1_blue_pixel from the PlayStation forums has purchased a third-party cover from DealExtreme. He offers some truly insightful pictures of the system with its battery bulge. (For those that aren't in the know: longer life PSP batteries are larger than the current batteries in the PSP-2000, and will protrude out of the system slightly.) From the looks of the picture, it doesn't seem like the bulge will be too noticeable. In fact, we think it's worth it just for the 11 hour battery life.

I for one thought the bulge was going to be a lot worse, but its really not that bad especially for gaining all that extra gaming time. I doubt its really 11 hours as thats only reading the power level of just using the xmb, but its still going to increase the game time a lot regardless. The only bad thing is that his cover doesnt match.

Could this be used with the fat PSP batteries? Or my Go Max for fat PSP?

I would believe so actually.

Funny a guy I know said the slim's battery was crappy and only seemed to last longer since the slim PSP draws less power but the battery has less, so he said ppl will use the old batteries and that Sony should make a faceplate!

The slim's battery is exactly the same (life wise), as the plain fat battery you get about 5-6 hours, the reason the fat PSPs battery makes the slim's life last longer is the bigger charge plain and simple, personally I could careless, I have a portable charger that can charge the PSP up to two days on non-stop charge.

That's not bad...its worth it considering the much improved gaming time biggrin.gif
