Sony Introducing New PSP Battery Packs


Sony is going to offer some extended life for your PLAYSTATION Portable if your getting tired of it dying so often.

The new PSP Extended Life Battery Kit includes a 2200 mAh battery pack that can double the battery life of the new PSP model (PSP 2000). Because the extended-life battery is slightly thicker than the one that comes with the new PSP, they’ve included two custom covers in “Piano Black” and “Ice Silver.”

The new battery pack will release at retailers in mid-December for a retail price of $44.99.

... what about us poor shlubs with the "fat" PSP?

I'm pretty sure you wouldnt want a battery bigger than the one that we already have. Plus the fat psp gets decent battery life anyway.

Is this simply the 2200 battery (which is already on sale) with a cover so that it actually fits in the Slim?

I would assume so. How much longer life does the 2200 battery give you on a fat anyway? I dont think its that much more but I'm lazy to look.

always wanted more battery life, but it felt wierd touching it without the cover, now that it has a cover it will be great,
oh and btw in my experience putting the fat battery on my lite gave about 25% more battery life

I think it was 30% extra battery life for the 2200 battery, so with the Slim it should be good.

Wouldn't the buldge makes the Slim PSP a little unbalance on 1 side?

If you put it down on a table or something then probably yes.
But when you're holding it it should be OK.

It really pisses me off that they don't offer a WHITE cover for those of us who have the white PSP!
