I think you need a higher custom firmware to run the game try 3.71m33-3.

Works on 3.71 .... try the obvious, do you have a UMD inserted?
only asking 'cause I keep forgeting this.

it wont work on 3.40oe-a upgrade to at least 3.53m-33-4 then turn off the umd so u dont need a disc inside.

try this 2 option in the VSH menu:

1) set your UMD ISO Mode to NP9660(if this fail, try the 2 option)
2) set your CPU speed to 333mhz

Most of the time when u trying to load any game.. it show black.. its because of firmware problem. Update should fix this..

You could go straight to 3.71 M33-2 if you create a Pandora's Battery.
But it would probably be easier to go: 3.40 OE-A - 3.52 M33 - 3.52 M33-4 - 3.71 M33 - 3.71 M33-3.
