I just had an idea. For those of you that have a modded xbox and run the app Xbox Media Center (XBMC is my primary dashboard) you can do some pretty sweet PSP to Xbox Networking Connectivity.
I was taking some screen shots with my xbox using XMBC, and i thought it would be sweet just to take some screenshots and then be able to send them right into my psp photo folder using my xbox and thus me not having to get up or move tongue.gif
Since my Xbox and PC are SMB networked, it would be easy to accomplish.
So i decided to edit the XBMC XML file a little bit using notepad, to add in some smb network paths to it.
this is what i added, in the appropiate spot:
<bookmark>
<name>Network PSP PHOTO</name>
<path>smb://administrator:*******@192.168.0.1/PSP PHOTO/</path>
</bookmark>

(the ******* is the set password for your PC)

and then I connected my PSP to my PC, and activated the usb connection. went into the PSP folder and right clicked the PHOTO folder and shared it, and gave network users the right to change and delete files also.

I also shared out the root of the networked PSP in the MY FILES portion of the XBMC xml, because when using the xbox for network file transfers it's easy to do in the my files portion of XBMC.

so i saved the edited xbmc.xml file and and sent it to my xbox. Upon reboot of the xbox i was happy to see that my idea had worked.
when i went to the my files in xbmc there was the option of network psp.
So i made sure my psp was in usb mode, grabbed my xbox controller and stating sending files to my psp using my xbox smile.gif smile.gif

then i thought it would be cool to be able to access the music on the psp with my xbox running XBMC(kinda of like xbox 360), so i edited the xbmc.xml file again and added pathe in the my music section to music on the psp. And that also worked. (of course it should) cool.gif

so as i type this, i'm listening to music that is being streamed from my psp to my xbox (kinda, PC is helping out to) as Pic's are being sent that i took using XBMC to my PSP's photo folder.

XBMC is really good at it to, allowing new folder creation, copy, move and delete options.

So i was sitting here and thought that was really cool being able to access all the music, pic, and anything else on the psp using my xbox. But what still bothered me was having to go to my pc still to hook up my PSP to do all of this cool stuff.
Then i decided to further mod my xbox case a little more and add a female usb port to the front faceplate of my xbox (next to the 4th contoller port and a little to the right). I then got some really long four-wire Wire and made a really long USB cord(it's not hard, just have to solder 4 wires at each end).Ran and connected the usb cord to my pc, then connected the psp the the female end of it in my Xbox, activated usb mode and it all worked fine.

So yeah i guess i kinda of have what i like to call a xbox 180 tongue.gif since i can plug my PSP into it and listen to music or view photos from the psp.

My xbox contains a 160gb HD so it holds all my Roms for emulators and things of such. Now i can connect my psp right to my Xbox(using PC networking) and get all the roms onto my PSP using xbox contoller. Anything i want actually, i have all my psp folders on my pc shared so i can transfer any PSP homebrew app that is on my PC also.
I just think it's pretty RAD that you can plug into an xbox and send PSP games and what not right to PSP using just the XboX(kinda).

I know i'm not the first to do this, but maybe some will read this and say hey, that's a good idea. laugh.gif

Just some basic xml editing and a really long USB cord running from my PC to my xbox and mounted in it, opens up a lot of cool options.
