ok basically, i dropped my psp, everything was fine until now; i put my psp on HOLD and then when i tried to take HOLD off... my button does'nt work properly.. i can easily slide it up and down... its supposed to have a spring or something when you use the power button... and i think the spring is loose or something

my question is , how to do i open my psp, so i can check my POWER button internally?

all i see are like 2 screws... but i wanna make sure before i go ahead and start unscrewing

help! my day without a PSP = boring!

maybe u should have it proffesional looked at. If u cant work out how to take it apart then u probably shouldnt start playing around with buttons in case u really f**k it some more wink.gif

only way to take off all the screws is to void the warranty. So you may want to send it into sony. but you will get a version 2.5 psp back if you do send it to them.

I understand there's a 2.5 downgrader anyway.

There is NO 2.5 downgrader

thanks Karlos for the link;
now i am facing another problem... i couldn't unscrew the last screw thats below the 'warranty' sticker... i tried so much, that now a + or - shaped screwdriver just circles freely...
so the screw is a " o " shaped screw instead of a " + "

i'm so friggin' frustated... i think i might just grab the hangin' face plate and rip it off sad.gif and get another faceplate

maby you could drill it out? the screw that is...

There is a screwdriver shaped like a O. Look for one at a hardware store.

You only have to remove 1 screw of the 2 under the void warrenty sticker. Just slowly, SLOWLY, remove the LEFT corner, just like 1/6 of it. Then you can push it back on when you are done.

There are 4 screws in the battery cavity, 2 silver on the right, 2 black on the left, both the left and right bottom screws are under the warrenty sticker. You only need to remove the silver screws if you plan to go deep into the psp, you only need the 2 black screws to take off the faceplate.

I'll try and find some pics...

edit:
You only have to remove the red arrow screws. See that the bottom left one in the battery cavity is really close to the end of the sticker? With some skill you should be able to get it off and back on with it looking the same.
