How long does the standard PSP Lithium-Ion battery last before it starts crapping out?

I've had mine since May of 2006, a few months after launch, and it's just now starting to die a little quicker than usual.

Should I start considering investing in another one? And if so, which one?

Out of this list, which one looks the best?

Regular PSP Battery Pack

PSP Battery Pack - 20% more power

CTA Digital PS-BGR Rechargeable Battery

Clip-On Battery Pack

Any help would be appreciated, thanks! smile.gif

I've had my PSP battery for almost as long and haven't noticed it dying any quicker.

Out of those four, I'd go for the "PSP Battery Pack - 20% more power" as Sony ones tend to be more reliable.

really? lol ive had the psp for like more than a year, with full brightness and a 50% sound with headphone it averages about 4 hours. on the 2nd brightness and 50% sound around 6 xD but then again im not too sure coz sometimes i really use it then sometimes i dont =)

If i can see correctly i notice that the one with 20% more power says it starts at $24.99 and the other PSP battery is at $37.99

I think the one with 20% more power is the obvious choice.

yup go for the 20% more power but it's really strange ur battery starts dying already, mine works way longer.

Get the 20% one because i read some stuff from Q J .n e t and the others execpt for the 2200mah that is as describe by the description.

Here read for yourself:http://psp updates. q j .n e t/Of-third-party-PSP-batteries/pg/49/aid/87309

my battery is fine still, but you should wait till the new batteries are are because they will greatly incress battery life.

For some if you keep your psp on a charger a lot it will weaken the battery life. It is better to charge it when it gets low rather than leaving it on the charger when not in use like some will do. This is common in a lot of battery operated devices. It could be a possible reason the battery is already weakening. Just a thought smile.gif
