my friend let me barrow his 4GB sonoy memory stick pro duo
whe i put games in the iso folder and try running the game on the psp it only loads up the beggining and stops there
then when i try games with my SanDisck memory stick pro duo the game works
is this suppose to happen?
makes me think that sony has put something to stop ppl from running games from there memory cards

well the memory stick might be fake dude... you can't play iso's with fake memory sticks...

There's a few possibilities:
1) The memory stick could be corrupted and maybe have some bad keys, try reformat the card.
2) It's a fake memory stick which actually 2gig that shows a 4 gig capacity.
3) Try setting your PSP's CPU to 333mhz and load the games again.
If you're looking for a good 4 gig memory stick, Sandisk is my recommendation.

My guess is a fake. Ask him where he got it from. At least it works for ya. I use the pro duo and it works for me and i bought 1 recently so i doubt sony have done anything to prevent iso's being played.

i too think it's fake
i did ask him where he got it
and he said from the swap meet for $25
the funny thing is i used it to downgrade his psp to 1.50 and to 3.71 m33 and it works for that
i've also reformated the stick many times and still no good
i would never buying a sony memory stick now
i have a 2gb sandisk and it's great
also looking to get a 4GB or 8GB but it's a bit pricy right now
do they only fake sony sticks or do they also do other brands?
thanks for the help guys

Im not sure what they do but if he got if from a swapmeet i would say its 100% fake. If you go into a proper retailer and buy one (they are expensive) it will be real.

Dang, the swap meet?? There's a 75% or higher chance its a fake. I suggest that you go to a retail stores. I think I saw a 4 gig from $40-$60, can't remember. I wanted to get one, but I bought a 2 gig recently and don't want to spend anymore. A 2 gig holds the biggest UMD anyway but I wish I had space for movies.
