hi guys, im jus here to ask a few questions to the pros out there on pandoras battery as my friend is too scared to do it and i said i know how to downgrade (because i do) so he told me to do it, i come home ready to downgrade the psp and i find out its firware 2.71, omg.

anyways, i know about pandoras battery, know how to make it but there are a few questions i have in my mind about it:

1. does it downgrade these higher firmwares like 2.6, 2.71, 2.72 succesfully? has anyone done it?
2. when a psp is bricked, u stick pandora in n it turns on itself n u choose to reflash the psp n it does it, is this the same when downgrading or do i have to brick it on purpose beforehand ?
3. once ive made it and used pandoras battery, can i use it again without hassel or do i have to go through the whole complicated procedure with the memory stick and battery?
4. if i can use it again wothout changing anything, how many times can i do this, is it permanent?
lastly,5. do only specific psp batteries work or any battery tht fits in psp?

these questions probably make me sound like a total noob, but if u guys could bare with me and answer the questions, i would appreciate it greatly

cheers in advance

p.s. whoops forgot a question 6. after downgradin woth pandora can i upgrade to cfw wothout hasel because another friend told me i cannot and the psp will get bricked again?

cheers in advance again

1. It downgrades all current firmwares. I know it works with 3.71, and am pretty sure that it also works with 3.72.
2. It will work on a PSP whether or not it has been bricked. You do not have to brick it first.
3. It depends. If you want to use the battery as normal again afterwards, you will have to reconvert it.
Or you could set it up something like this.
I have it like that so that I can boot to the XMB normally, or to the Pandora menu when holding L (like Recovery Mode uses R).
4. You can use it as many times as you like as far as I know. I've used mine a few times already.
5. Not all batteries work; Sony and Datel ones do I think. There's a compatibility list here.
6. You should be able to install custom firmware after downgrading to 1.50 with Pandora.
If you use the link above (PUMS), it will have the latest version which includes the option to directly install 3.71 M33-2.

Hope this helps.

PS: Those were not really 'noob' questions at all. smile.gif
