ok my friend recently was bragging about his new ps3 tht he got for 300pounds for 60gb which i think is an amazing deal, hes bought games with the money he saved so he's well happy,

the problem: he plug the ps3 in it starts up, but he gets a message telling him that it is in 'demonstration mode', tht its an x-demo ps3 and tht he need a 4number code to unlock it into a full functioning ps3,guess wat he doesnt know or have this code so hes jus sitting there watchin the demo video of the ps3 and nothing more.

has he been ripped off or is there a code to unlock this ps3, if u know then please please post, thank cheers in advance

I dont know....and if there was a code it would probably not be the same for each ps3 so your best bet is probably to go back to where you bought it from and talk to the person who sold it to you and ask if they have it.

Yeah that would be the best option or call Sony, but if its a demo ps3, they might be wary about it.

there is a way to get out of demo mode I heard. The info is on the net, your friend has to do his own research though.

He could sit there and try the 9999 codes 1 by one until he gets it lol.....That would take awhile.

I have read that on a few older ps3's that these codes MAY work, no guarantee: 8-6-0-4 or 5-2-0-2. Probably wont work so really the only way is manual 1 by 1 unfortunately.
