First, a huge thanks to NyghtcrawleR for all the awesome contributions for which I've reaped the benefits biggrin.gif

I DL'ed the new ISO released for the Castlevania game from here:

http://www.psp-spot.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=48934

I'm running 3.71 M33-2 on a slim and when I load the game from the dashboard it just goes black and hangs. Anyone else have this issue at all? I still have control and I can exit via the Home button but it seems to fail to load.

Have you tried setting your CPU speed to 333mhz?
fss
Tried that and it still didn't work. I don't have any crazy mods on this PSP and for all intents and purposes you could consider it a "vanilla" mod. I bought it about 2 weeks ago and I had a buddy install firmare 3.71 M33-2. I load it straight from the dashboard like I do any other game. I guess I'm the one off sad.gif

nah, there has to be something wrong in the settings. Go to recovery mode and make sure you have the "use no UMD" to disabled. Then, you obviously must have a UMD in the drive. That should do it.

Noob in the hizae.

I didn't know that some games required that the UMD option be enabled. Thanks a ton! That did the trick.
