We all know about Nintendo Wii's current popularity in the gaming console market, and the claim is backed up by credible proof in the form of numbers, both in the console sales count as well as Nintendo's stock value. But there has to be a dark side for every shining moment, and TheStreet's research analyst Michael Comeau may have an idea about what exactly the Wii's dark side is: there are less and less people buying Wii games, especially third-party titles.

In his video interview, Comeau said that Nintendo did a good job in moving consoles, but somehow failed when it comes to selling software. The few good games that the Wii has, he said, are mostly developed by Nintendo itself. He claims that only a few people buy third party games, which could be very alarming.

Why so? Comeau explained that it may scare off third-party developers from creating any more Wii titles, and Nintendo's waggling console may suffer if they bolt from making more games for the Wii. Comeau also said that because of this, the Wii may fall off the pedestal it's sitting off right now and get bumped off the spot by Sony's PlayStation 3.

One source says 360 is on top, another says PS3 and another says Wii.........to be honest I really dont give a crap anymore. Its all a fan based world. We all have our own opinions so leave it at that. I hate reading weekly about another console dominating the scene! WHO CARES! I love the 360, and I like the PS3 and the Wii......well it has its own unique features. 360 is dominating the scene now, but will have problems starting Jan 1st when the PS3 starts releasing titles that the 360 cannot play. Starting with UT3.....PS3 can fit all that on there disk, but 360 can't squeeze it on a 4.2GB size DVD....theres a problem there!! And this goes with the new GTA! So PS3 will dominate the scene if 360 cant figure out there problem with allowing us to play disk that can hold more data....which is going to lead to another console in reality.

As soon as this novelty toy remote dies the wii will die. If the wii didnt have that novelty toy as a remote, this console is fuc*kin useless. I hate the wii, this cant compare to the 360 and ps3. Graphics are crappy and the system specs are no where near the ps3. And if i want to be in a game there is always eyetoy lol.

Well I would say in terms of sheer number of sales by month, the wii has blown everyone away. Cant be disputed, but what impact if any does that have on the 360/ps3 that remains to be seen. I honestly believe very little, the wii is cheap and people buy it because it has a new idea that at least works in the games that are done right. The wii though is drowning in crappy titles right now and the ones that are A+ titles are made by Nintendo themselves. Whether the wii comes out top dog in the end is probably unlikely, but it will remain a complete success anyway.

Wii graphics are nasty. I'm way to used to next gen, wii shouldn't be considered next gen at all

True the only think next gen is the controller , it was a nice idea but it can be done much better i think.And yes i think ps3 > Wii

i personally like the wii much more than the ps3 the price is great and the wii has much better games. if the only thing you care about is graphics then the ps3 is it but if you want to ENJOY your games than just look at them then i think the wii or 360 is the system of choice.

everyone that i know that has a wii.. doesnt even play it anymore... im sure the ps3 will be dominant pretty soon..

wii is fun but its not for hardcore gamers. ps3 is great and the best, but i do think 360 might win because of price and time. but i do prefer ps3 over all of them, for sheer games and power.

I own a wii and a PS3, both of these are great console but not for the same kind of gamer... the wii is a great party box... when you are a group of player it is awesome... simple, funny game and cheesy graphics...

The PS3 on is side .... have incredible graphics but more designed for reality reproduction ( FPS, simulator...)

I never found a game on the ps3 that anybody ( beside console freak) can use and enjoy right out off the box like on the wii...

Unless Wii can keep coming out with good games, it will be out lived by the PS3 AND the 360.

PS3 will win if console only price at $200 and $50 each games, right now PS3 is expensive.

both will suit different audience.... PS3 caters to a more mature audience while Wii is more family/kids console.
