Hi markeeh, and welcome to Console-Spot. smile.gif

Are you sure you have 3.71 M33-2? Or do you have 3.71?
If you have 3.71 M33-2, why do you want to downgrade?
You can do pretty much anything you would ever want on 3.71 M33-2.

If you have 3.71 M33-2 and really want to downgrade, you should be able to via Recovery Mode.
If you have 3.71 and want to downgrade, you're going to need Pandora's Battery.

Its a 3.71 M33-2. Is there a difference between a 3.71 and a 3.71 M33-2? I want to downgrade it so i could play psx iso games. Im still a noob in psp, so i would gladly appreciate all the help i could get. tnx adw888. ^^

Um, Okay, well my question is, what's you PSP model, is it a slim or fat?

Because if it's a slim you have no options 3.71 M33-2 is the only custom firmware aside from 3.60 M33-2, and that's it. Secondly, the difference between 3.71 official firmware, and 3.71 M33, or so on, is that with official firmware, homebrew, and free PSX games are out of the question, so just thought I should let you know, I had some trouble with RECOVERY in 3.71 M33-2, the run eboot function wouldn't work, if it works for then okay, if not let me know and I can help.

My psp model is fat. Do you have a step by step for downgrade? or is it ok for me to play psx games without downgrading? Im afraid i might mess up with my psp. Sorry for being such a noob. Tnx for the help guys, i really really appreciate it. smile.gif

If you are on 3.71 M33-2 then you can play PS1 games already, you don't need to downgrade.
Just put them in "ms:\PSP\GAME\PSPGAMENAME\" (I think that's the path) and run from the game menu of the XMB.

Moreover there is 1.50 kernal add on for 3.71m33-2 for fat version..

Yes there are SNES and GBA emulators for the PSP -
SNES: SnesPSP_TYL v0.4.2
GBA: gpSP 0.9 with GBA BIOS
They should work fine with 3.71 M33-2, but they might need the 1.50 kernel plugin to be installed.

It weird, my Silent Hill (PSX) works in my psp but Final Fantasy Tactics (PSX) doesnt?

Error Encountered: I transfered Final Fantasy Tactics (PSX) in my PSP. It only boots the first screen then it goes black. Then an error message pops up. It says error: CA000005

simple answer you need keys.bin to run them google is the best option or try downloading elsewhere
markeeh
tnx man, it works. its kinda weird though...the slient hill didnt have any keys.bin in it but it worked.

Aside from Snes and Vba emulators, what are the other emulators that could run in 3.71 M33-2? So that other 3.71 M33-2 users dropping by this thread would have an idea on which emulators to use. ^^

Sorry for being such a noob guys, i really appreciate that you're helping noob guys like me. Thanks!

It depends on how the ISOs were converted to EBOOTs.
Newer techniques for higher custom firmware versions do not need the KEYS.BIN file.

If you have the 1.50 kernel add-on installed, then any of the emulators available for the PSP should work: http://www.psp-hacks.com/category/20
I particularly like the Sega Genesis emulator (DGEN) and the NES emulator (NesterJ).

There is a Nintendo DS emulator, but it's only in its early stages so I don't know how playable it is: http://www.psp-spot.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=44165
Don't expect it to be any good yet though.
NyghtcrawleR
Put it this way, not playable and I doubt it ever will be.
markeeh
Well if only psp has a stylus, then we could play DS games. LOL! tongue.gif

Another question, is there a game shark for psp? I want to use some gameshark codes in some of my psx games. Is it possible?

I didn't think so, but looking at their official website, it looks like it can.
