any1 who have the game know when u rubb the pig and get a heart wut it do? i finally got a heart for it all it did was making the pig following me

it apparently gives you a bit of luck on carves as well as rewards after the quest dude, can help to get those darn rubies

im not sure if its 100% on carves...in the MH on PS2 it only affected rewards 2/100 times i got plates on reward screen...........
unless theyve changed it fully......im not sure really.......

im not too sure on the carves from the pigs luck either but MH2 gives you a felyne ability or armor skill, not sure which one yet, havent began the game cos my PSP is SCRUUUUUUUUD, dammit, but anyway, theres a skill that allows you better carves.

the best for rewards though is using luck armor, it really helped me alot compared to my bros who didnt have it, you get more and better rewards and have a better chance to gain those elusive rewards

Ah, so that's what rubbing the pig is for. It never made sense to me! It still seems pointless.

So this is the reason people love this game- I could never quite figure it out.
