Team M33 has stated that due to an internal vote they have decided to take a small break before releasing any more PSP custom firmware. They cite a few reasons for their internal vote (3 votes against 2) and include the following; to teach a lesson to those who don't appreciate the work of hobby hackers and those developers who steal code and don't know what their doing. They confirm that their M33 v3.71 custom firmware is COMPLETED but they are just taking a small break before releasing to teach people a thing or two about acting lame. So what is the story here? People should stop conducting themselves in an immature manner and be more respectful to those who are working in their own free time.

Personally I hate team M33, so none of this matters, though I do agree users should be more appreciative. This is something that takes a long time and can be a grouling process so get over yourseleves they don't owe you anything, it's just like when I spend the time to make a custom theme, I put hard work and dedication into and still I get users who are unappreciative. So even though I detest M33 I am glad to see they are keeping up with their work, great post.

sounds like the group as a whole has some issues, teach a lesson? there will always be somebody to teach a lesson, its the internet, i think this is pretty stupid personally, and i see it as another mark against this group.. i havent used any of the M33 FW <to many updates> and i personally could give a shit if dont release at all, there will be somebody to take there place... there always is, and if the next group has a superiority complex and decides to say "look! a cookie! NO ,YOU ARE IN A TIME OUT... well then they can get out of the way and the next one will step up
this is the same sort of stupid shit chicks used to pull in high school..
HER: "WAAHH i do this, this, and this, you dont appreteate any of it!"
ME: "piece bitch, im gonna find somebody who doesent have fuckin issues, gimme back my danzig t-shirt"
and just for the flamers, yes, i have donated money to psp hackers... yes i know they dont "owe" me anything... blahblah...
ok i feel better... bring on the hate-

I don't think some people realise that it does take a lot of effort to make homebrew possible. You should be grateful for what you have.
That said, there will always be losers out there. Delaying the firmware probably won't do much good.
