could somebody help me?i have only a memory stick of 1.0gb for psp and i want to play gta ,i dont wan t to buy the game lool ,and the game is 1.16gb and when i shrink with yauis.
then i try to play but when i start to play gta the game doesn t work its says is impossible to play the game (FFFFFED3)

if anyone has gta already rip please give me.
My emulator is umd emulatrov0.8

It is impossible to play gta on any firmware lower than 2.0 at this moment. The reason is some parts are encoded in a way that only the version 2.00 can read them. Also the movies are in avc format. Sorry

Anyone have an idea upon when we will be able to play LCS? And will all the future games have this damn firmware problem?

Gosh how come a huge chunk of the PSP community doesn't spend any time reading up on the scene? We have a term for this: RTFM.

Most common annoyances (to me) are;

1) I'm going to lose homebrew if I upgrade to 2.0
[You're not, Fanjita runs most homebrew programs, just not the isoloaders]

2) The iso is too big, I can't fit it on my memory stick.
[You can practically fit almost anything on a 512 stick, just read how to cut things out of the UMD]

3) I can't downgrade from 2.0
[You can, fool, use Google/Yahoo/MSN/whatever to find this, there are at least 30 sites documenting how to do this, and its even been covered by the mainstream media.]

4) I upgraded to 2.5 and then only found out about the scene today.
[Too bad, upgrading to the latest software isn't always the smartest idea, think Windows ME back in 2000 or the initial problems with Service Pack 2]

5) I don't want to shell out the money to purchase the game, where can I get the ISO/ how do I get the iso running?
[Gosh, if you're not going to pay for it, then at least spend the time to learn how to run iso's by reading on the web instead of just cheaply expecting everyone to hold your hands in the forums]

All this is mostly attributed to bastard laziness.

serialmouse your a prat....if you cant give advice then F**k off..... i have used google and searched and used all information myself and i recently came across a forum stateing you cant use the downgraders they ruin your machine.....so i was only asking...............IDIOT

You must be a retard if you could not find out you could downgrade by just typing in 2.0 firmware downgrade in google.

the downgraders dont ruin your machine as far as i believe, there was a beta version which was apparently very unstable, but thats been updated now anyway, ive downgraded serveral psps for mates etc, none of which have had any problems.

I googled the information and found the correct downgrader within 2 minutes. In fact there is even a stickied post in this forum that tells you how to downgrade! Are you blind or are you that lazy?

The fact that you never bothered searching and demand that we hold your hand through this when there is no less than 15 threads about downgrading proves my point: "You are one big lazy bastard."

you'll have to upgrade it to 2.0 (do it off the UMD and not off the net)

but you'll be able to downgrade it easily. Even easier if you dont store any photos, because you can keep the downgrade exploit in your photo directory on the same memory stick as your games and movies

do it out of a trusty site's downloads. Of an umd could end you up with 2.0+ wich isn't downgradable. Wanting to trick this guy?

If the UMD is for upgrading to version 2.0 then how will you upgrade over that. Yo cannot be tricked that way. It even shows you what you are going to upgrade to before you do it. What are you talking about?

because of what i read on other forums and probably also on this one, that is that sony could well put a fimware on the umd that is higher than 2.0. That way they trick you into a fimrware that can't be downgraded.

There are no GTA:LCS copies out there that do ANYTHING but upgrade to 2.0

It is by far the most trustworthy and reliable way of upgrading

If i upgrade using the upgrade on the gta umd will i be able to downgrade after because lots of other forums say that it is not safe.

Has anybody else heard about the cheat device for gta lcs. It has some quite cool features such as Infinite Health and Armor, Spawn Anything, Display Coordinates and Speed, Teleport, Step Through Walls and Power Jump.

The cheat device made by edisoncarter has now been updated to version 0.3. You can now take screenshot that are saved to the memory stick. You can also spawn anything by pressing 1 button including the hunter. You can edit the colour of the cars and it has made it impossible for you to fall off the motorbikes.

the problem is not being new to the field. Neither is the problem asking questions, so don't martyr yourself.

The problem is that people ask incredibly dumb questions that have been answered so many times before and instead of putting in a half kajigger of effort, people want to ask questions and have other people do all the work for them.

If I went into a physics class and told the professor that I didnt want to read the text book, read any articles, or do any homework but I asked a billion questions, trying to get the professor to do my job for me, I think the prof would be a little short with me too.

does eney body now how to get a helycopter on gta for psp plz reply if you now where.

I agree Rin,,, but i only asked if it was safe to downgrade...because so many forums i had visited said that it bricked there PSP.....1 question!!!! after searching and learning how to use and rip UMDs/ISO,s myself???? There was no need to flame!!

To get the helicopter you can either get the save file that has the helicopter in the garage in staunton or you can get it on the calm before the storm mission. To get it on the mission you have to:
1. Follow the helicopter until it lands on the building.
2. Use the PCJ 600 to get up the stairs past the yellow marker.
3. drive around to the helicopter and get in.
YOU THEN HAVE 2 CHOICES START FLYING IT AROUND NOW AND NOT BE ABLE TO GO FAR OR YOU CAN DO THE NEXT STEP SO YOU CAN GO FURTHER.
4. Once you are in the helicopter land it down by the steps.
5. Make sure that the door is left open.
6. Once the door is open run into the yellow marker at the top of the stairs.
7. As soon as the cut scene is over jump of the ledge and get into the helicopter.
8. Then fly around as you please but don't kill the people otherwise the helicopter will go.

No because gta lcs needs the codecs from the 2.0 psp. The 1.50 psp doesn't have the codecs to play the movie so it isn't possible to play on 1.50.
Just do what i am doing. Upgrade to 2.0. Than downgrade after. Hope this helps.
