Hi. My firmware is 2.81 (i think).

Anyways, how do I add games?

I added a folder called 'ISO' and put a .cso game in it and nothing happens.

A friend did my other PSP so I can just D/L games and put them on my PSP.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks.

You can't use ISOs on FW 2.81, you need to downgrade and install CFW. And in order to downgrade you'll need an unpatched LCS or Pandora's batter (< unless you know someone who has this, this can only be made using a homebrew capable PSP).

Thanks for the reply.

Do you think this can be done in a few hours?

Also, I cant find any links on the abbreviations you gave me. Do you know anywhere which has a tutorial on all of this?

Thanks again.

cfw: custom firmware
lcs: grand theft auto liberty city stories: for use with the 3.03 downgrader
he left out lumines which can be used with the 3.11 and 3.50 downgraders.
so from 2.81 you will first have to upgrade to one of the firmwares above.
if you have a psp on cfw already, then you can make a pandora battery and use that to downgrade the other psp.

after you are on 1.5 you then install a custom firmware of your choice. 3.40 oe-a and 3.52m33 are the most popular atm

and yes it can be done in a few hours. even faster if you dont suck at it.

maybe 15-20 minutes from formatting and transferring files but thats if you have done it before and are good at it. if you have to read instructions on everything and dont use easy loaders and easy installers it could take a lot longer. like i said experience can cut down time. but even normally shouldnt take longer than 30 minutes

Well the downgrade takes most of the time, that I can have done it about 8 mins, then CFW installation. And thank you for pointing out the Lumines exploit I had forgotten that, which doesn't surprise me I always do.

i have downgraded a lot of psp using the lumines exploit, but now i'm using pandora which makes things a lot more easier and faster...
