does anyone know when exactly is it coming out? i know its somewhere in september as pspfanboy said, but when is it coming out in english? or is only in japanese and i gotta wait till next year for a translation? lol

more and more details are coming out so it cant be long. i just hope its not like FFVII Cerberus cos that was a tad rubbish

3-1-08 is the release date for the US copies. Next time check GameStop or EBgames.com, it'll save you time.

xP the special edition came with my Final Fantasy VII PSP Slim. It's not that long of a wait really, I mean yeah it's already out in JP, but all you need is a bit of patience. This game is incredible, by far the best PSP game out yet.

Yes, I did import it. His name is Genesis, G for short, personally, I hate Gackt, he's an awful artist who slept his way into FF. I speak semi-fluent Japanese.

It's not 1-1-08, it's 3-1-08.



Yes, this is true as it is already availible in Japan. But the US release is thus far scheduled for 3-1-08, got my copy on pre-order.



The cutscenes can be subtitled in english, unfortunately, the rest is in Japanese, and if you don't semi, or fully speak the language you'll be lost in translation.

man, but japanese with english subtitles is so much better, really into it, even watched advent children in japanese with the subtitles. way better

It's good for the voice acting, but when the menus are in JP as well it makes the game difficult.

Well there are some pretty good translations out there for it, forums.adventchildren.net for example. They certainly helped me get through the game with no problems. Then again I have studied Japanese a little bit, so it will require a little work on your part if you don't read Japanese. It's definately worth it though, certainly one of the best PSP games released so far.

Yeah I agree, I speak semi-fulent and I can actually read most Kanji, it's just that it's still difficult in anycase, the US voice acting isn't all that bad for FFVII, I think they did a splendid job casting people. I espically like Sephiroth's english voice, I'll enjoy the US copy all the same. And as my user bar says I own a copy of the FFVII PSP Slim, marvelous little bundle, I have photos if anyone would like to see.

I'm also a fan of Gackt (unlike you ) so having him as Genesis was an added incentive for importing the bundle. In general I tend to prefer the Japanese voice-overs for anime and games, but not in a stupid fanboy type way, it's just my personal preference. The Advent Children english voice actors did a great job, and in some other cases the English VO are much better. (Like Cowboy Bebop if you've ever seen that).

I'll still buy the game again in English, because I couldn't read any of the emails you get during the game, or the DMW flashbacks. My Japanese isn't *that* good.

hmmm... my japanese SUCKS. but ima but the game as soon as it comes out here, we get games VERY late and most games we dont even get so i usually get the game from here if i cant buy it, but im going to download it as soon as its available, but still buy it, YEAH

I wonder why they only did 77,777 bundles. I bet if they did 300,000 it would have still sold out. They should have capitalized on it.
