Yesterday it was reported that the official TV out cables for Slim & Lite would not be gracing the official UK launch on September 14th and that the only console color available would be piano black. However, Sony has confirmed that this rumor is only 50% true, the cables will be available at launch while the white SKU will only be available from October in UK.

I thought they wouldn't release it without the cable; that would just be stupid.
They should do a value pack with the cable to increase sales (of the cable) as I doubt that many people really want to play their PSP on their TVs.

actually it would make perfect sense. you bought this system and now you need a controller-memory card-etc, has pretty much been the norm. parents buy a console and a game, only to find out that junior can't save his game 'cause they didn't buy a memory card.(not included, but necessary) some people would love to play a video or two for the pals that haven't seen them yet . news flash! you can buy the psp daxter pack at gamestop now!!! it seems to be a slim version of the 1000 with av cables, daxter , family guy, and a 1 gig memcard! is it a trick or a treat? pspfanboyhttp://tinyurl.com/392pof

Sad but true about the memory card. It doesn't make sense not to include even a very basic memory card so the console (PSP or whatever) can be played out of the box. At least the Daxter pack does, but the core & the SW Battlefront do not.
