what os? also add any sata drives lately?

3.40 oe a for psp and win xp for pc. wat is sata drive?
jetshock3
serial ata drive. more bandwidth than an ide style drive,so it tends to be faster. the problem i had was that windows wasn't seeing my new drive as a non removable drive. it treated it as a hot swappable drive. so it couldn't see my psp. i'm using xp too. try right clicking on your my computer icon, and choosing properties from the drop down. check the device manager for exclaimation points. look in the usb folder for trouble too.you can also try the add new hardware route. windows might ask you for your xp disc. there might be a generic driver out there as well. i'll do a fast search...

doesn't seem to be a need for drivers, xp sees a psp as a mass storage device. do you know anyone with a regular cable? maybe somebody here uses a combo like you.

Honestly, just try another usb port. That might do it.
