Hey had a PSP for years but never got involved with Homebrew. I have been looking lately and it looks kewl but have i missed the boat to downgrade to 1.50? Or have any of you boffins worked out how i can get from 3.52 to 1.50?? Also as a newbie what are the benefits and the consequences?

Sorry to say it but I dont think there is any kind of way you can downgrade now, but you can wait a month or two and there's definately gonna be a downgrade for 3.52. And, the really good thing about homebrew that you can pretty much turn your PSP into a pocket PC.

yeah for now you just have to sit tight or just sell it or trade it off for a different one.

Actually, you should now be able to downgrade and therefore use homebrew via Pandora's Battery.
You'll need someone with a homebrew-enabled PSP to set it up for you.

Not really, but it's better to do it with a spare battery in case it gets stuck as a Jigkick (unlikely though).

the problem with using the pandoras battery to downgrade is to make one you need to already need to be on 1.5 or cfw. so unless you know someone with cfw or 1.5 psp you cant make one anyways so you are still stuck being unable to downgrade.

Well yeah, but most people have friends who have a PSP........... I think.
But still, it's the only method to downgrade from 3.52.

thorrrr, I would see if any of your friends has a homebrew enabled PSP (1.50 or custom firmware) and ask them to help you out with it.
They'd probably know what they were doing a bit more anyway.
In any case, this Pandora's Battery Guide could be useful.
