Try re-installing, you might have had a bad install.
Have a look through your recovery settings, just make sure they are all as they are meant to be.

You could also try a different CF and see if that solves the problem. I have 3.51 m33 on mine and it works well.

Go to recover and open flash1, then just delete the config.se file, that file usually gives ppl problems when games wont work or lock up. its a blank file about 1kb.

Do you have a umd in the drive. That can cause that error if you dont. Worse comes to worse, just reinstall your cfw.

what was your firmware before you recovered it to 3.40 oe-a??? where you on 3.40 oe-a then recovered it to 1.50 then installed 3.40 oe-a again??? i have encountered something like that wherein my friend accidentally clicked on the restore default settings under the system settings, he can't play umd & iso games so i tried recovering it back to 1.50 and install 3.40 oe-a again, but after reinstalling the cfw, the games doesn't still works... i was planning to recover it again and install a different cfw but time runs out so i have to do it by the next day, and when we met again he told me that it was back to normal again, all he did is change the theme... maybe you can try it as well...

Try this:
Go to your recovery mode, then go to Advanced,Advanced configuration and disable settings in it.
If that still doesn't work, go to recovery mode, configuration, and disable all options in it.
Hope this works
