in some point DAX custom firmware users will need to update, we all wanna know which new custom firmware is more favorable & why???

Well, basically 3.52M33 has a step up on any other firmware. Most of the new xmbs only support it and it will come in handy when the new umds come out.

Sorry to disagree, but I will never be leaving 3.40 OE-A. But if I ever do I will wait for team wildcard to make the CFWs I think they'll be the best on the scene.

yeah, for some reason i dont like them russian CW's. Im a 3.03oe-c loyalst (when i need a new game and it has higher FW then i will upgrade).

But 3.40LE is my choice here.

3.52 M33 for now, but I'm watching out for 3.52*.

how about the no umd compatibility of 3.40 LE??? is it also same as 3.52 M33???

I havent tested this, bc to me I always have a umd in. I mean why not leave one in honestly, its not like you notice its there?

so all of the stuff of 3.40 oe-a is compatible with 3.40 le??? like the custom xmbs, no need to convert it???

I dont think i will ever follow M33 i tried 3.51m33 and it sucked.
I'm a 3.03oe-c guy but if i have to upgrade it will be 3.40LE

M.33 firmware is the best

I've recently upgraded one of my PSP's to 3.40le and I must say I'm happy with it and I really enjoy having the SCEP menu in the XMB. It's really handy. I haven't seen anything that doesn't work with it, all of my custom 3.40oe stuff works just fine and it hasn't crashed on me yet. The only thing that I've found that didn't work was Jabber. Jabber didn't even freeze it, it just rebooted the PSP and that was that. I don't see any advantage to having M33 as I can't think of a game that needs that high fw as of yet, and by the time there are games out that DO need it, team wildcard will be finished with their 3.5x. Prove me wrong M33 supporters.

I'm currently on 3.52 m33-2 and so far I'm liking it there are still a few bugs but I think next full update will take care of those. Personally the biggest downer for m33 is their english is somewhat....lacking so I just wait a few days I did the same thing DAX. I never used LE so I have nothing to say about it.

hmm... it seems that 3.40 LE is really promising... i might try to upgrade to LE...one more question for those who have installed 3.40 LE, can i install it directly from 3.40 oe-a or do i need to dowgrade back to 1.50???

i have to agree with gantz i wont be leaving 3.40 OE-A unless there is a game i cant live without that requires 3.50+ then i dont know which one i will use

I'm with you Gantz. I'm only leaving 3.40 OE-A behind when UMD's require a FW beyond 3.40.

No ones actually answered the original post, that is, what firmware are you using and WHY.

Ive tried various firmwares over the time ive had my PSP currently running 3.71 M33 with USB Isoloader, and it plays games and the few emulators i use fine, thats all i need my firmware to do.

What else can you do with all these firmwares, please enlighten me :-)
