Check out this blurry picture of a recent Wal-Mart ad, which shows the updated prices for the DS, Xbox 360, and Wii platforms. Now, focus on the Xbox 360 part, and you can see that the price for Microsoft's console has gone down to only US$ 349, about US$ 50 cheaper than its current price.

Is the rumored US$ 50 price cut on the Microsoft Xbox 360 true, then? One of our previous articles mentioned a rumor that the 360 would have a price cut come August 8.

The rumor is further reinforced with the release dates of titles such as Stranglehold, BioShock and Madden NFL 08, which will be released in August as well. As it happens, a price cut and a bunch of new titles would be a perfect combination to increase Xbox 360 sales.

Is this the confirmation that we've been waiting for, then? More updates as they come!

Not much of a price drop IMHO, the xbox 360 has been out for awhile now.

not as cheap as i would hope, but still cheaper than it was before, might consider getting it now..hmm
