i have a new windows vista operating system and i tried running limewirepro on it. it successfuly installed but when i run it it connot connect to the server because there a fire wall preventing it. i tookdown the windows fire wall and i tied to take down the maccfee firewall but still no go what should i do.

Well, if you downloaded Limewire from an un-trusted site, download it again.

No matter how many times you remove a firewall, it won't work. When Limewire attempts to connect to the internet, an alert should pop up and you have to allow it to access the internet.

i downloaded it from pc apps on this site not really sure what the difference woul;d be though

you have to uninstall the mcafee that came with ur computer. u can keep the virus scan (and security center i think) but it has to be deleted worked for me

limewire may not have combatablility with vista yet.

there are a few ppl with ur problem. ny advice is to tell limewire to get fu*ked because i hate P2P haha. I download songs album by album. Really p2p is only for music. And sometimes u dont even know what u get.
