I just finished downgrading from 2.71 to 1.50 and then back to 3.40-A. I was now wondering how do you put games and emulators and all that kind of good stuff on my psp? I am new to this so any help or how to guides will be appreciated. Thx!

I had similar problems.

1) Place iso/csos into ms:\ISO\

Try to run games. If that does not work; try the following things:

1) Upon boot hold down the R button to reach the "recovery" menu. Goto "Advanced" -> "Advanced Config" and enable #1
2) If that does not allow ISOs to run, go back to the same menu and enable #3
3) If that does not work, goto "Configuration" and disable "Use NO-UMD", then go back to the Advanced menu and disable #3

Realize you will need to reboot your psp each time to test the above scenarios.

Well back up the data on yer mem stick and then format it. After that things'll be much easier PSP ISO/CSO go in the ISO folder, homebrew goes in the game150, if you're still loading from the 3.40 kernal, game if you're in the 1.50 kernal. Most emulators you download will have readme on how to use them, I hope this has helped.
Bomb
To put emulators, you have two folders usually HBNAME and HBNAME%, put them both in PSP>GAME150, make one if you don't have one.
smelven
And PSX games go into the GAME folder only, it wont work in the others.

Quick 1.50 Recovery question. I tried installing the 1.50 recovery but got nothing but a corrupt data icon on my mem stick. I thought it might be because the files were being copied to the game folder so i moved em to the game150 folder and still the corrupt data icon. I tried re installing a few times with the same outcome. ANy suggestions?

Well I'm not sure if this really matters considering you don't run the 1.50 recovery off of the mem stick, but recovery mode itself but in any case try this one I have used it plenty of times, and it has always worked RECOVERY.

Well I thought it ran off the mem stick cuz I saw someones psp screen shot with the recovery as a option. when it copies it to the game folder shouldn't it show on the mem stick?

what kind of emulator you wanna install??? for example, if you want the gameboy advance emulator, download first the emulator file and put it in the GAME150 folder... after that download some ROM files and put them inside the rom folder inside the emulator floder... you can download the gameboy advance emulator at the download section and some GBA ROMS here hope this would help you...

I am looking for snes and 64 emulators. I thought emu's and roms went into game folder. so emu's and the roms go in game150? do i need to make new folders in the game150 folder? someone said earlier something about hbname and hbname% Plus i just tried to play a few of my games that were working about an hour ago and now they are not playing. When you highlight em it will show the background of the game but when i select em it just freezes and i have to restart my psp.... any suggestions?

update: all my cso's play it seems to be my mortal kombat psx/ps1 dl that freezes when i try to load it. it was working fine about an hour ago. anyone ever have this problem?

The need to go in the game150 folder if your kernel is set to 3.40 kernel. If its set to 1.50 kernel then it can go in the GAME folder.

yeah my kernal is set to 1.50. my psx/ps1 games were working just fine awhile ago. now when i try to play them the just dont load and freeze my psp. all my cso's play fine. i just dl'd tenchu and put it in the game folder and it does the same thing as my mortal kombat game. what would cause them to work a few hours ago and now not work?

Well I got everything working again. It seems that the psx games were not playing due to something that was wrong with my XMB experiment. I just put my flash0 back to its original state and now all my games are working fine. I guess I will have to sacrifice custom xmb until I can figure out how to get it working correctly. Ne way thx for all the advice guys this site is a life saver.....
