So, has anyone that got in on the $120. 2gb stick actually recieved their order yet. Personally my order has been pushed back to the 7th of November. Thats a month and a friggin half since i ordered the damn thing. When i placed the order it never said the unit was out of stock. I am very unhappy with dell right now. If anyone has already recieved their card yet let me know. To those of you that have not, mabey we can all get together and petition Dell, or contact the BBB.

Jeez, some people need to take their heads out of their asses. The release of the memory stick itself was pushed back by Sandisk to November 8th. IT is not Dell, nor Best Buy, nor Eb, nor Gamestop, nor any other retailers fault.

That is the reason why they call it a pre order. You also, by purchasing, agreed to the terms that clearly said "PRICE AND DATE SUBJECT TO CHANGE".

get my head out of my ass. WTF man? I am simply voicing an opinion and asking if the same thing has happend to anyone else. At no place on the page that i ordered from did it state that the item was a pre-order (its the blue sandisk pro duo card). Quite the contrary, it said "item is in stock". I dont tolerate this kind of delays from anyone that i place orders from. Now HAD the page stated that the item was a pre-order that may have been different. The ONLY communication i have recieved from dell is an email sent stating that the item is on backorder and every effort is being made to fill the order. I have recieved this email 4 times now, and every time it has been sent on the day the item was supposed to ship and i get a new shipping date (always exactly one week later). If the item release date has been pushed back, why not just say that instead of stating that it is backordered and put the approx shipping date on that day instead of making it one week later. Just to clarify, my first ship date was 10/07, my second ship date was 10/14, my third ship date was 10/21, and now my ship date is 11/07. Now mabey my head is just too far up my ass but i dont get this, if the product release date is 11/08, why is my ship date 11/07? Dude, get your own head out of your ass, and dont bash me becuase i speak my mind.

And yea, if you can give me some proof that it said in stock, ill admit to there being any logic with you blaming Dell for something Sandisk is doing.

Just curious if anyone who ordered one of these sticks has recieved it yet. I just got an email from Dell today stating that my new shipping date would be jan 1st of 06. Unless this product has been pushed back agian by sandisk and im unaware of it, im definatly blaming Dell now.

They did the same thing with the 1 gig, but i dont think they pushed it back 4 months. Im glad i skipped these deals and went straight for a 4 gig stick.

No, i have a 4 gig MS Pro, its not a duo, but i have a Pro->Duo converter so it works with the PSP.

The stick is around $200, (though there is an auction going on right now for 3 4gig sticks for $350) and the converter was $25.

It works a lot better than the 4 gig HD because it has really fast write/read speeds, but you dont get the x2 battery along with it.

It was a good choice for when i bought it (4 months ago) but with the prices of the memory sticks going down, and all these converters coming out, it might be worth it to wait.

Basically the guy figured out how to transfer the original MS pro's data connectors to the Pro Duo. This is the same basis as connecting a harddrive, though im guessing its harder to connect a HD to one of the little Pro Duo tabs.

Yea, it sticks out the side, and because of the adapter attaching to the back by velcro, it makes it a bit more of a tight fit with the case that came with the psp, but its worth it. Since its velcro, you can easily just remove it and then put your psp in the playgear, and the MS/adapter in your pocket. It allows plenty of le-way room to open the UMD port with no tension on the cable.

I also received a notice stating they wont be in stock until early january. I just have a feeling the Dell doesn't want to honor these orders and is doing everything possible to make people cancel.

If your theory is correct that'd mean every retailer that had this up for pre-order is scheming for everyone to cancel their orders because they dont want to make any money.

That must really suck! About reporting them to the BBB, I'd advise you report them at ripoffreport.com. The BBB is a bought membership. This means that companies that claim to be a BBB member are members because they bought their way in. ripoffreport.com has posts from people on companies that have ripped them off.

Blame Dell anyway because they suck well and truly LOL. Although, the shipping issue was caused be Sandisk Dell should have advised their customers properly.
