How do i play iso's of games for psp or ps1. I have tried the included software in the downgrader package. Btw I have 3.30oe running on my psp. I have tried making backup iso's of games i already own and cannot get them to load thru dax iso loader. I have also tried making ps1 eboots and they will not load either. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

If you're on 3.30 OE-A (or any of the newer custom firmwares), to play PSP ISOs, just put them in "ms:\ISO\" and run them from the Game menu of the XMB.
See if that works first then we'll try and sort out the PS1 EBOOTs (which go somewhere else).

PSX Eboots go to PSP/GAME biggrin.gif

do you need to have any other other programs or change any settings because ive put a Ps1 eBoot into the game folder but the psp wont even show its there.

The PS1 Eboot need to put into a folder and put the folder into the "GAME" folder itself.

Yep, for example if you have FF7, you might put it in: "ms:\PSP\GAME\FF7\"

Any program that implements popstation.
I would recommend PSX2PSP v1.2: http://forums.maxconsole.net/showthread.php?t=40946

You have to convert it to EBOOT.PBP format.

I have my iso's in the ms:\iso folder and it will just send me back to the xmb. I also have the ps1 converted eboot.pbp (or something like that) in the ms:\psp\game folder and they will not run either.

Your install probably didn't work, try re-installing your FW or installing 3.40OE-A

What did you use to make the ISO?

What firmware have you got?

PS1 games need to be in their own folder in the "GAME" folder, as described above.

yea i have 3.40 OE-A and u just drag and drop the iso/cso file in the iso folder and it shows up on the memory stick it's actually pretty simple

Ok, I am running 3.40oea and I have used psp filer to make iso's of the psp games themselves. I tried putting those in the ms:\iso\ folder and I always get sent back to the xmb (I've tried samurai warriors, powerstone collection, and prince of persia... none of them worked). Now I've also tried using the included dax iso creator both .cso and .iso formats.... Also placed them in the ms:\iso\ folder and got the same result. Maybe my 3.40oea installation didnt go right... at this piont i have no idea. Also... Same result with the ps1 .iso and .pbp (or whatever) put those in ms:\psp\game\ (gamename)

Any ideas?

Same thing happened to me Lxs, this was fixed by reflashing my firwmware.

well, if you still have a problem with the PS1 games, you need to have the EBOOT in a folder along with KEYS.BIN. That will make it work. so it'd look something like this

MS>PSP>GAME>NAMEOFGAME>EBOOT.PBP + KEYS.BIN

Have you tried putting a UMD inside ur PSP? I think you need to have a UMD(game or movie) inside, I'm not really sure. I'm using 3.51 M33-6 and all of the ISO/CSO/PBP that I have are running without using any UMD by using the new SONY No UMD mode, You can enable/disable this option in the recovery Menu

put psp isos in iso folder and ps1 eboots in the game folder in their own folder
