Hello,

My PSP won't turn on. When I power up, the green light comes on, but nothing happens. Is my system bricked? Can something be done?

I had a 2.81 PSP with TA-82 motherboard. I had 100% battery charge and kept the PSP plugged in the whole time. I updated to 3.03, then downgraded to 1.5 (used GTA LCS), then upgraded to 3.30 OE. After 3.30 OE finished installing, it said to hit X to shut down the system, and to restart manually. So I hit X, system shut down, then I tried to power up the system... and nothing happened.

People told me to try and remove the battery, keep the PSP plugged in, and power up while holding the R trigger. Nothing happens, doesn't work.

This is the second PSP I've attempted to flash to 3.30 OE. The first PSP I flashed worked perfectly, so I've done this before and on a pretty identical PSP (2.81 w/ TA-82 motherboard on both PSPs). So I'm confused as to what went wrong... I don't think I messed up the installation..

if you did everything right, it should've worked properly... since it doesn't turn on, im guessing a full brick. coz a partial brick would've allowed you to enter recovery mode.

- anyway, for starters, what installer / files did ya use?
- what firmware were you on prior to 3.03?
- did you update directly from 3.03 to 3.30?

hm... but since u finished the entire installation, it kinda rules out a bad DXAR file. have u tried recovering to 1.5?

other diagnosis:
- bad battery pack (if its old)
- hardware problem (power supply of the board)

but then again, i'm no expert at this, just trying to help using my experience.

try pressing the screen button(brightness button), anything appears?

Joe beat me to it. But I am sure its just your screen button. Many people experience this. Just hit the button and I am sure you will be fine.
