im running the 850MB CSO of vice city stories with music and everything, but theres tons of slowdown when im driving becuase of the city loading.

Is it just the .CSO or what?

Can i conver the CSO to ISO and get rid of this problem?

Yeah it's definitely the CSO one game that is not so great as a CSO is GTA (LCS or VCS)try bringing it back to an ISO but it might go over a gig, What I did was i downloaded the full ISO copy which was about 450MB with all radio ripped and just added a few custom tunes and i was cool smile.gif

ya maybe the u have to uncompress it beecause compressing isos sometimes makes it laggy
NyghtcrawleR
Probably just a bad rip. Try a copy from a different source.

That could be true too, but try uncompressing first buddy

some people complained about this problem and it was due to their MS. what kind of MS are you using? also it could just be because its a cso but its just something else to think about.

im using a sandisk 2gb pro duo

i uncompressed it to an .iso and it worked flawlessly

CSO is god damn useless, every CSO rip i have is only 10-20% smaller, but takes 2 to 3 times longer to load things, and in the case of GTA:VCS makes it UNPLAYABLE

Yep it's the CSO that lags.

Before i purchased my 4GB memory stick duo i had the same issue with GTA:VCS. Basically, i would not free up the 10MB i needed in order to play the ISO,- so like many PSP users i converted the game into CSo format, put my CPU speed on 333mhz and attempted to play the game. However, it was way too laggy so i went out and purchase a 4gb and it worked like a dream in ISO format.

try this:

> recorvery menu

> turn cpu speed to 333

that's what i do when lag occurs,
don't play for long time, or may damage your loved psp

if you play a lot, i think, it should be in a cold room
(to prevent heat up your psp)

just my 2 cents!
