It's been almost a week since my PSP can't connect with my computer. I think something is wrong with either my PSP or the USB cable or both, but the USB cable still works. I know this for a fact because whenever I try to connect it to the comp the PSP says it's on USB mode although it won't install the PSP in it. I'm very disappointed now because I can no longer transfer my files from my comp and I'm stuck with all my files from before I want to change. I hope someone could really help. sad.gif

BTW, I'm wondering of the purpose of Toggle USB in the Recovery Mode. How does it work? I mean, I tried it clicking it and it said USB enabled so I exited and went back to USB connection. It said USB mode but still nothing so I went back to Recovery Mode again and disabled it but got the same result. Arrgh

I've never used it myself, but I think the idea is that you enable it in recovery mode, then you should be able to use the USB connection to transfer files in recovery mode (without going to the XMB at all).

I tried using it and nothing ever really happens of it

Hmm.... expensive but a risk that's worth it. arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrhg

Someone mentioned to me that I should also get a memory stick pro duo adaptor, what does it do?

Its an extension which you put your memory card in. Makes your memory card bigger and longer wink.gif

Could be the USB cable, do you have anything to try with the USB cable, digital cameras, printer or anything else? Another problem could be with your USB driver, try uninstall all the USB driver, restart your PC and connect it with your PSP again. Hope it works. smile.gif

the toggle usb in the recovery mode is for incase you brick your psp then you can go into the recovery and transfer the firmware recovery folders onto the memory stick so you can unbrick your psp
