not sure about a 2.6 downgrader, but iv downgraded 5 psp from 2.71- make sure you know if u have a ta-82 board, then download and install the right easyinstaller- READ THE DIRECTions and bang 1.5

from there just grab the easy installer of your chosen OE firmware and your stylin!

did i miss anything?

see i read that and stuff but i have the numbers on the motherboard ic1003 whats that mean?????

ic 1003 means you have a ta-082 board. from 2.6 you can either upgrade to 2.71 or 2.8 and use one of the corruption free downgraders. there is a 2.6 downgrader but you need gta:lcs. but its easier to use the corruption free downgraders since you have a ta-082.

check out these links:
chilly willy's corruption free downgraders link at bottom of first post.

so i just system update it on the psp to either 2.71 or 2.80 right then downgrade to 1.5 then maybe if i want 3.03
evol edo
just download a 2.71 or 2.8 update and update it like a normal update so you can use one of the downgraders. the downgraders will bring you to 1.5. so you can do whatever you want after like install custom fw. there is a link to 3.03 oe-c in the second link i posted before

can u give me the link i need to update it to 2.71 pretty please

hey im having troubles downgrading a 2.71 can some1 please help? smile.gif
evol edo
maybe you should state exactly what the problems are. do you have a ta-082 or not. and did you follow the instructions in the guide.
joey_jdc
dont go 2.71,just go 2.80 and then go 3.03OE-C wich is the best and easy!!!!!!

the best (safest) way to do it is to upgrade to official 3.03, and use an unpatched copy of gta:lcs to downgrade. it worked for me, at least!

I would not recommend upgrading to 3.03 if you are at 2.60, because going via 3.03 requires a (relatively rare these days, unpatched GTA:LCS UMD), and is no safer than downgrading from 2.71 or 2.80 (which don't require an unpatched GTA:LCS UMD).

From 2.60, I would recommend upgrading to 2.80, then downgrading using the improved noobz.eu 2.80 to 1.50 downgrader. evol edo has already posted a link to my outline guide for doing this, but I'll post it again anyway: http://www.psp-spot.com/forums/index.php?s...mp;#entry208480

Many people on here have followed that to successfully downgrade and get to 3.03 OE-C (custom firmware).
evol edo
+1 going to 3.03 is a horrible suggestion. unless you are 2.81 or higher or happen to have an unpatched LCS. as was stated 2.71 or 2.8 are your best bets. might as well try 2.8 if 2.71 is having problems. they are both easy and safe and dont need LCS
