i like most of the 3.x sfw and i can't decide so i have 3 easy flashers in my memo. stick just in case i wanna switch. I used to mess with the xmb with 3.03 but it caused to many bugs and messed stuff up
A good thing of having easy flashers is if i mess up somehow i can flash it with ease when i'm far from my comp.,
it sucks though that i need 75% of my battery to use them.
i like 3.10oe and 3.30oe because it has that reset feature for the ps1 emulator.
I really can't tell any improvments really in anything past 3.03oe, not even the "video support" of 3.30oe.
and it sux that its been a long time since sony released a firmware with features that made it worth getting hopefully skype support comes soon.
so 2 sum up 3.x SFW are the best

3.30 Open Edition (Rev A), I haven't touched my psp for a bit, then a few days ago, i heard there was a safe downgrader, luckily i was too lazy to upgrade my psp to official firewares.

Just so you know there's also FW 3.40 OE-A but it's rather new and doesn't offer too much more than 3.30 OE-AorA'. For me the best FW would have to be 3.10 OE-A' because well it's just my favourite it has great PSX support, the conserve mem option on my web browser has been a lifesaver xD. But this is just how I feel, I know many users are partial to 3.03 OE-C



It wouldn't matter your ticker says you're running 3.11. You can't use a CFW unless you have 1.5 or a CFW already. So just sit tight and wait for a downgrader to be made, and remember DON'T UPDATE!!

i choose 3.03oe-c as the best. because of customization. i currently have 3.30oe-a. and loving it.

I support the 3.40 OE-A version. I had the 3.03 OE-C version, but the PSX PAL support is rubbish on that. So I switched and I'm happy now. Great emulation of PSX games.

Is it safe to get 3.40 OE?? Will ISO loader work [better or worse or at all]?

And I I dont like it I can always go back to 1.5 via recovery mode, right? I went from 3.10 OE --> 1.5 --> back to 3.03 OE-C...

I suggest using custom firmware 3.10 oe-a'. Haven't had any problems with it.

I have as I said, but I think if I am gonna upgrade my OE I might as well get the latest version. OE-C works fine, no games wanna make me update [and if they did I think OE tries to run them anyways, like how I ran GTA VCS as an ISO in Devhook 2.71 when it wants 2.81...]

wow thats a large list you have there. i like 3.03oec the best and its my current one im using, coz it has most compatibility.

if all custom firmware can be customized why not upgrade to the highest and as you see my xmb in my signature plus i'm on 3.40 oe-a firmware.

im stuck on 3.11 whichis the worst firmware. I want to get 3.03oe-c or 3.40 oe-a. dont know the better one

I just upgraded to 3.40 oe-a, but I really don't see any difference.

in terms of customisation, 3.03 oec is the undefeated champ. i've tried 3.10 oe-a, didn't like it...

I prefer my official 1.50 , it's good for me, I'm only 17, I just stepped into the homebrew world, I don't want to get to complicated, only thing I can do good is programming like in C# or w/e.. anyway, for the pro's one of those "advanced" versions is probably better.

I use 3.03 OE-C, it plays games great (maybe for the exception of gbsp).

I have 3.11 sooo haha we all know what that means. But i installed 3.40 oe on my step bro's psp and i like that the best. But you don't know how hard it was for me to see all the homebrew on his and know that it wasn't my psp... sniff sniff... i need a moment... lol

If you mean 3.40 OE-A to 3.03 OE-C, then yes.
If you mean official 3.40, then yes, via 3.50, Lumines UMD and 1.50.
