I have a japanese PSP with 1.5 installed, but now that there's a downgrader working I have to try that browser that comes with the 2.0. But when I try to upgrade it no text is shown after I start the upgrade, I could ask for a combination of buttons I have to press to make it succesful, but I'm afraid it could take a bigger problem later I upgrade...
Some knows how can I fix this?

Is the original firmware completely unmodified? (You haven't used PSPPersonalise or anything?)
Otherwise, sounds like the firmware update might be corrupt. Did you download it from Sonys site?

The only thing I applied to the actual 1.50 firmware is the button region changer (for the O and X funtionality), 2.0 eboot is the one I downloaded from WE TRY TO STEAL PSP-SPOT STAFF, but I tried it with the one from psps official site with the same results...

Try the "Restore to system defaults" option in the menu. You'll lose your WiFi settings, but it may help.

It could also be your wallpaper. SAme thing happened to me. Just change it back to the default, if you had earlier changed it to something else with PSPersonalize or the WAB Background Changer.
